My name is Olivia Hayward and I'm a 23-year-old young crafting professional.

I started Mane Message when I was in college. What began as a creative outlet, my small hair tie endeavor quickly took off and became my main source of income. I ran Mane Message out of my teeny dorm room at Pitzer College and learned the importance of self motivation, drive and time management. I also discovered that there is nothing better than being passionate about your work. After juggling classes, a thesis and Mane Message, I graduated in May 2011 with a B.A. in Media Studies, a minor in Studio Art and my very own small business.

As a post grad, I spend my days running Mane Message full time. I work from home out of my lovely turn of the centry Berkeley apartment. I love running my own creative business and cannot imagine doing anything else. I am extremely grateful to...
