Raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains I have always been attacted to arts and crafts. When in college I found a great love working with metal. For years I have wanted to create something to help an organization that I believe in and use leftover materials to recycle them into new work.

A couple of years ago I was introduced to Mercy For Animals (http://www.mercyforanimals.org/) an organization that exposes cruelty in factory farms. Since cruelty in factory farming is the main reason I became a vegetarian I started volunteering for them and making art for their yearly silent auction.

Now I am working on becoming a vegan and creating work to promote their organization. 20% of all my sales goes to Mercy For Animals. All work in this series has been hand made with scrap metal from old projects. So it is 90% recycled...
