Melissa Pocek's Profile

About

Melissa Pocek creates jewelry using gems and raw texture, resulting in pieces that have a minimalist, modern look. Semi-precious stones are used as accents along with chains in gun metal, sterling silver, gold, and bronze. Her pieces are often defined by natural material that are more typically seen on ocean floors and in natural history museums.

Wire weaving and metalsmithing are Pocek’s primary sculpting methods, this allows her to create pieces that combine a feminine look with the strength of industrial metals. Her designs are created in her studio, a charming artists’ loft.
