We are a husband and wife team, Bernard and Jena. Bernard is a music professor and Jena is a reading teacher.

Married 27 years, three kids, two in college, one taking a year off to teach in India, retired homeschoolers, living in a 100-year-old church building.

We are lifelong Midwesterners with deep roots in the rich soil of these corn fields.

He loves canning jars, and that's how the shop got started. She likes jars, but is tired of washing them ;), so the shop is expanding into more vintage and maps. We both love history and the fun of playing detective as we figure out who made it and why.
