Carol Ann Johnston's Profile
I've sewn since I was in middle school, but didn't make my first quilt until the 1970's. It took me 10 years to finish that one, and I still have it. In 2002, I picked up the habit of quilting again and now I try to sew every day. I find it therapeutic and refreshing, and it's nice to have something beautiful at the end of the process! My quilts are made in a tobacco free but pet friendly home. I do all my own quilting on my domestic sewing machine, a Pfaff.
All my pieces are machine pieced and quilted. On most of my pieces, the only hand work is the finish stage of French double fold bias binding or attaching a hanging sleeve.
