I grew up digging for Sapphires with my family in the Sapphire Mountains of Montana. My Mother and Father were gem cutters, (Mom still is) and have passed the tradition on to my brothers and I. All stones that are labeled heat treated were heat treated by my Father. Every stone that I sell was hand mined, heat treated and faceted by either myself, my family, or family friends here and abroad. I have some of my stones faceted in a clean, humane, ethical facility run by family friends in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fancy Montana Sapphires are my passion. I used to work for a custom jewelry store, and I adored co-creating custom jewelery that had our Sapphires in them! I am very interested in creating symbiotic relationships with ethical jewelers, artists, and artisans.

My inventory is larger than what I have posted, so if you don't see something you are looking for, feel free to send me a message with what you are looking for and I'll see if I have that perfect gem or gems for you. I also have an assortment of matched pairs for earrings and side stones, ranging from 4.75mm to 2.5mm.

Some people are interested to know that some Montana Sapphires change color from natural to artificial light. I check all of my stones in natural and artificial light before posting to ensure that you know what color stone you are getting. If I find a stone that does change colors, I label it color change and will articulate what colors it turns to in what light.

Different computer monitors display colors differently. (Say that 5 times really fast!)
If you have an in-depth question about a stone's color, hue, vibrancy or clarity, please ask. I never use photoshop or edit any of the photographs of my Sapphires, so what you see is what you get. I am happy to take additional photographs of any of my Sapphires for you if that will help you in your decision making process.

I like to find fun new ways to use Sapphires. Sometimes I use them in my paintings and soul portraits. I'll set them into the paint while it is still wet and let it set. It gives amazing sparkle and holds the charge of whatever energies I am working with.

Rest assured knowing that every piece that I carry was handled ethically, from mining to heat treatment to faceting to you. I can recommend trustworthy and artistic jewelers if you need help finding someone who can do your Montana Sapphires justice.
