I am a glass artist specializing in fusing dichroic and art glass for jewelry and home decor, including wedding and anniversary gifts!

I love fusing dichroic and art glass. The process is long, but oh, so rewarding! I am pulled out of bed each morning with a childlike excitement to see what I will find when I open my kiln and behold my newest creations. I love taking an idea and turning it into a solid item of beauty that I can hold in my hand. Creating beautiful pieces of jewelry or functional items like my crystal tea light candle holders to adorn a home or other personal space thrills me and animates my life. I live in a truly beautiful mountain forest high above the Los Angeles Basin, in Mt Baldy, CA., and am eternally inspired by the nature that surrounds me.

Mt Baldy Glassworks was founded in 2005 by Libbi Shorts, who combines her skills of ten years of experience in glass work and jewelry design to produce a distinctive line of artwork for the body and the home.

I out grew my small studio in my Mt Baldy, CA two years ago and moved into a very large studio space above my husbands warehouse in Fontana, CA. I have 4 kilns and saws and grinders and hundreds of pounds of of art glass. CLASSES: Want to learn how to fuse glass? Let me teach you how!

The classes last 4 hours and each student will have the opportunity to assemble as many pendants as they can fit on their portion of the kiln shelf/ I schedule classes to meet your schedule.
