As a teen I was often teased about having a very "junky trunk". Whenever the school was missing basketballs, the guys would accuse me of "smuggling" them out of the gym underneath my sweatpants!!! It seemed as though I had become the butt of all of their jokes (no pun intended!). Years later, as an adult, I wondered how I could take something that I once had such insecurity about and turn it into something really positive. In other words...I wanted to use my "junky trunk powers" for good and not for evil! LOL!

I've been drawing since I was about 4 or 5 years old, and I can still remember my mom handing me a pencil and pad in church to keep me from squirming. "Here....draw the ladies with the pretty hats," she told me. Later, as an adult, God gave me a gift that changed my life forever. In 2005 He taught me how to paint, and then He gave me the idea for MyJunkyTrunk®. Today, I use my art, along with light-hearted Christian principles to encourage and uplift the hearts of women all over the world. I focus on self esteem, confidence, a positive body image, and a healthy, active lifestyle. Although there are a lot of big butts in my art, it’s all just good, clean fun. I hope that my work makes you laugh and smile, and not take yourself so seriously!

MyJunkyTrunk®, isn’t just for Christians, and it certainly isn’t just for those with junky trunks. In fact, the “butt” that is the challenge you’d like to overcome may actually just be a “but”. You’d like to be a write a book, BUT…. You’d like to get a college degree, BUT….. You’d like to lose weight, BUT…, etc. My goal is to inspire you to see yourself as you truly are. You are beautiful, strong, powerful, smart, gifted, and unique. My hope is that you come to know fully that whatever it is that you dream of doing or becoming, you really can do all things through Christ!
