I've been designing jewelry since I was 5 years old (truth), when my aunt showed me a lump of glass that could be melted down into something I could wear. My mom still has my first 'lump.'
At the age of 18, I learned the finer points of enameling and PMC use from well-known artists such as Dorthea Stover, Tim McCreight, Jan Maddox, and Valeri Timofeev. I have earned a BFA in studio arts with a concentration in metals, fiber, and book arts from Montclair State University.
Each of my pieces are made out of cloisonne enamel, which is molten glass fused to metal. Think of them as miniature glass paint-by-numbers, which I create from scratch.
