About
I am a mother, artist, and teacher. Although life is very busy, I make a point to paint everyday. Creativity is the driving force of my day to day in all things big and small. It makes life fun/exciting/adventurous/fulfilling. The creativity of others nurtures and inspires me.
I live in Williamsburg, VA and teach art at Thomas Nelson Community College. I have a daughter who is three and a son who is one and a half. Being a mother has changed my life and my children are featured in many of my paintings.
I like to experiment with different kinds of styles and media, so the work has a range to it. My process also varies. I paint from observation, so that I might continue to learn how to "see". I also paint from photographs, so that I can capture fleeting moments. Teaching also inspires what I do in the studio, as I help students develop...
