Sarah Mandell's Profile

About

It's not that I don't know what I want to do when I grow up, it's that I want to do so many things.

I'm Sarah Mandell, the brains and busy hands behind Once Again Sam, a Greenville SC-based indie craft business where I design and make jewelry using re-purposed materials. I'm also addicted to the time-intensive craft of needle felting, and my fiber art features anything from realistic-looking plants, to quirky sea creatures, and even anatomical hearts.

My background is in interior design, but having pursued a career in the field of commercial architecture for several years after graduating from Maryland Institute College of Art, I missed working with my hands so I opened an Etsy shop simply to have a creative outlet. I never expected my handmade hobby would turn into a full time dream job come true, but I'm loving…

I never expected my handmade hobby would turn into a full time dream job come true, but I'm loving every minute of it. When I'm not making leather jewelry or needle felting curious things, I'm still creating, but with words writing fiction. I've had one novel published so far (Celia on the Run) and another one due out in a few months. It's fair to say I live to create!
