I have always been a lover of antique and vintage fabrics. There is something so meaningful to the patches and repairs on the old textiles I find, that people have tried so carefully to save a beloved old blanket or curtain, I often try to honor them by highlighting these labors of love in my work. I strive to give new purpose and new life to things that have long served others as something else. I have sewed all my life and am currently also a seller on Ebay under the same name, I was Wormeatingdragon, now my name is Pillow Beach. The photo of the kid with the big hat, thats me, age 7, holding a rabbit (Buns) and no doubt thinking about the soft texture of its fur with my hands which is probably why I got into textiles because I love to touch!
