Thanks for your interest in Plays With Mud's Etsy Shop!

My first craft project was a Q-tip monogram for my sister when I was seven years old. I watched do-it-yourself shows before the DIY craze became ... well, crazy. In college, I gave instructional speeches on decoupaging for my Public Speaking 101 class. I have amassed a vast collection of paints, glues, scissors, and stamps, and am always searching for a creative outlet and a way to breathe new life into my plethora of miscellaneous craft supplies.

I have been referred to as "the go-to gal for craft know-how," and have had my hands in almost every craft out there: paper making, candle designing, soap casting, book binding, scrapbooking, embossing, stamping, decoupaging, painting, faux finishing, collaging, card creating, and bead stringing. I love discovering new tools, new products, and new uses for old goodies. My current passions are pottery, paper, and custom stamps.

All Plays With Mud products are handcrafted by me (with the occasional help of a dedicated hubby and a curious three-year-old) in a smoke-free home with loads of care and attention to detail. I have an amazing, supportive husband; a lively, adventurous toddler, and a little gal who blessed our family in January 2009, which of course, leaves me plenty of time to craft craft craft!!! :)
