Welcome to Practically Whimsical!

I am a stay at home mom that lives just outside of Houston, Texas. My husband and I have two great little boys that our world revolves around.

I started making jewelry about 11 years ago. I would make things as gifts to give to relatives and then chicken out at the last minute because I was terrified that they wouldn't like what I had made. A year ago, I started buying things to make hand-stamped jewelry. I ended up dumping a bunch of money into it, making a few things --- and again, froze at gift giving time.

My amazing husband told me that I would never know what would happen unless I just jumped in there and took a chance. I am not a chance-taker, as you can probably deduce.

Making jewelry has really become a bit of an obsession at this point. I love scouring the bead shops and going online trying to find beautiful beads to turn into something wonderful.
