Welcome to PrairiePeasant, coming from my humble home on the Canadian Prairies. Everything in my shop is individually handmade by me. I have always been driven to create, and I have a passion for reclaiming and repurposing materials, including paper products and fabrics. I love transforming something that might otherwise end up in a landfill into something beautiful, functional, and one-of-a-kind. As William Morris said it best: "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."

My journals are each one of a kind, unique designs made individually with love and an attention to detail. All the pages have been hand torn or cut by me--I do not use any commercial style equipment to cut my papers or bookboard.

I've just opened another shop, prairiethreads.etsy.com, and welcome you to check it out for fabric and fibre items.

I take pride in all my creations and I hope you will find joy in using them. For those concerned, my home is pet and smoke free.
