About

A student at Hebrew Union College working on a joint masters in Jewish Education and Nonprofit Management, RaeAn is a long-time artistic hobbyist with a strong interest in Judaica, feminism, queer theory, and shiny things. Since crochet hooks are shiny, she decided to combine all of the above and start making kippot (traditional Jewish head-coverings) for women, queer-identified people, feminists, and anyone else who wants a kippah design outside of the ordinary masculine and heteronormative designs. Custom orders are always welcome, as are ideas for new designs even if you don't want to commit to purchasing the kippah yourself! I consider kippot an art form, not just head decoration, and I'm always looking for new and unique modes of expression through kippot and Judaica.

I also have a jewelry shop, OnyaJewelry. I'm taking a break from jewelry design at the moment since I had to leave my supplies in storage in Atlanta when I moved out to LA, but I will probably begin making jewelry again once I have my tools and materials on the same coast as me!
