It all started with a box of scraps.
Bits and pieces. Wisps, really.
The well worn box was tucked away under my mum’s sewing machine, overspilling its treasures around me. As a child, I would often rummage through, admiring the vast textures and colours. Over the years, my mother taught me how to transform these wonderful fabrics into knick-knacks and accessories, using needle and thread.
That box became my tickle trunk, piled with worn out jeans, leftover drapery and scraps from odd projects here and there. So there it started. Dresses for my sister’s dolls… pencil cases for my friends… cards for my mother.
To this day, some twenty-odd years later, my obsession lives on. The only thing more...
