I'm an off-grid mom of two. I start every morning by milking my dairy goat.

All the logs for my projects were salvaged from industrial logging operations, backyards, and storm-damaged areas, so you can rest assured that each tree had a long and full life.

Bigleaf maple (Acer macrophyllum) grows abundantly up and down the West Coast of the United States, but only the rare tree shows the fiddleback, quilted, or burled figure that I use when making my cutting boards and serving trays. Each piece I make is absolutely unique. In fact, my favorite part is putting finish on a board and seeing the natural figure of the wood being revealed.

All of my photos are taken on my property or on my parents' organic farm. Most of my edible props were grown by my husband or my parents. I try to remind myself daily that I am a very lucky person to be surrounded by such natural beauty and delicious food.

I also really like to shop on Etsy for gifts and for myself.
