I've lived in the Bronx, NY all my life. Forty years ago, when I was a young girl, my aunt Ethel taught me to crochet and knit . Initially, I made practical items;then gifts for family and friends. In my professional and personal life, I also found great happiness working with children and youth groups, planning and implementing arts & crafts activities. In recent years, Castleman's Disease and severe lymphedema, first limited my mobility, and then left me homebound. Knitting and crocheting hats has become a vital creative outlet that can pay for some necessities I otherwise would have to do without. I hope the wearers enjoy the wearing as much as I enjoy the creating!
