S&R Designworks was created in the fall of 2010. The concept is to sell unique, sometimes one of a kind textile products to consumers. There is an emphasis on detail in pieces, such as a spiderweb print fabric will have coordinating buttons and trims.

"S" is for Solomon, age 25 a business major in college and a full-time worker in a manufacturing plant. He has taken marketing among other classes and was inspired to start a business. He is the technical side of the business, from getting pictures taken to getting everything set up on the site.

"R" is for Ramona, Solomon's mother. My son persuaded me that my talents needed to be turned into business. While my son is creative in his own right; he loves welding, gears, and mechanical sculpture. He has always liked art and has been a supporter of my art. I am 48, and have loved and done art in one way or another. I am a self taught artist and seamstress with God given talent. I started out a sign painter, went on to silk painting, and paper clay art. My clay art was shown in a local Mt. Vernon, Iowa gallery. I have won competitions with my sewing wall-hanging contests. I was a seamstress professionally for 15 years; now I sew for my kids, Solomon, Caleb, and Abigail. I dressed dolls for 10 years with a local porcelain doll maker in Anamosa. Recently I had the opportunity to work in the fabric design business which I currently am in now.
S&R Designworks is a collaboration between mother and son to experience a new creative venture.
I hope to display my love of art and detail as well as my sewing skills to my various projects yet to come.

A branch of S & R Desginworks is my daughter Abigail's own passion. Abigail's Artwork the custom card part to our business. As her mother I partnered with her in her desire to "make it" in the art world. She loves making cards so we thought it was a great idea to post her cards here on Etsy.
