I am a crafter by genetics. My mom taught me how to do everything crafty that is imaginable. She taught me how to sew my own clothes by the time I was 8 years old Through the years, I was able to share some of my craft loves with her, so we loved to craft absolutely everything together. Nothing got past us that we could not find a use to make some kind of craft from. I guess it came from my 101 year old grandma who passed away November 23, 2011. I think her most memorable thing she has made, is a guinea pig from a mango pit. Believe it or not, it really is cute. Those pits are really hairy when washed and dried. I lost my best friend in the world,(my beautiful mom) and crafting partner to breast cancer on October 25th, 2008. This is something she and I spoke of often was to make our crafts together and have our own little craft shop to share time together and share our crafting knowledge with others. She wanted to give sewing lessons to children, and I would just run the shop. She got sick and passed from cancer before we could make these dreams come a reality. She lost the fight against breast cancer after 12 years of ongoing treatments. So, in her honor and memory, here I am. Doing it alone for MOM AND ME. I named my shop SCENTS OF HUMOR CANDLES, because she always told me that without my sense of humor and strength keeping her fighting, she would have never fought so hard through all of the chemo treatments and the procedures she had to go through. She would have given up. I kept her spirits high and her will to live strong each and every day. So, here it is for you to take a peek at. SCENTS OF HUMOR CANDLES ... I hope some of my products can bring some light into your life, like the memories of crafting with mom and grandma do for me. Thanks so much.........Karen
