Shady Side Farm is not just an etsy shop, it's an actual place--a place of hard work, creative energy, and a connection to the land. It's the place we've chosen to raise our family.
In the course of our days, we raise sheep and create practical and beautiful items, including things crafted from our wool. Mike has been spinning wool for a few years, and a few years ago started with his new love--the circular sock knitting machine. Lona has been crocheting all her life and weaving rugs for almost 20 years. Buying from us helps a small family farm remain sustainable. :)
