My name is Marlene Bockler and I am blessed with having inspiration all around me.

Simon and Lucy are my children and they are the little angels that inspired me to design jewelry, specifically, the My Story collection. I didn't want the typical Mommy necklace that I've seen around. Many of them seemed pricey for the little that you get. So I set out to design my own necklace and just kept adding charms. My husband and I are college sweethearts, so I wanted to incorporate that into the necklace. I also wanted some way to incorporate my deceased grandfather into the mix. I love numbers, so I added a charm that commemorates when we started dating. I then added the birth stones of my children. Over time my necklace has evolved since I am constantly tweaking the layouts, the fonts, the information that each charm has, the metals I use and so on.

I really enjoy the creative process when creating a My Story necklace. Typically, I ask questions in order to get information from a client about their life. It can be a special saying, the date they were engaged, name of a deceased love one, family names, wedding date, name of the street they grew up on, and many other things. The goal is to create a necklace that symbolizes your story. It's a conversation piece. It's a piece that will bring a memory rushing back to you when you reach up to touch one of the charms. It's the smile you have when someone asks you about it, and you feel compelled to explain the significance of each charm.
