Simply distracted by all things sparkly. . . I’m moved and inspired by music, nature’s perfume, warm soft breezes, and small trinkets that seem to reach out from a different time ♥
My husband is my best friend and cheerleader. My two young children are fascinating gifts that remind me everyday that I don’t know it all . . . and that most lessons are being taught when you are unaware you are teaching.
In my previous life, I was a workaholic who hadn’t mastered work life balance and didn’t leave a great deal of time for my family, much less time for a creative outlet. Now I have a great deal of time for both ♥
Most recently, my work has been inspired by my Grandmother Pearl, whom I only know through pictures and stories,(the "Penny" half apron is named after her.) She was a bit of a socialite, and not only was great at sewing, but she also made jewelry. Her class and grace inspire me and fuel my creative energy.
In addition to aprons, you will find a small varying collection of items available in my shop, many of which are one of a kind. You will also see a common thread to my style. I am flirty and feminine. I adore vintage and retro fashion, yet I crave clean modern lines and functionality. I love color and find fabrics irresistible! I try to up cycle and re-purpose notions, trimmings, and textiles when I can, as making something new from things otherwise discarded is thrilling!
All my creating is done in my smoke/pet free home in Minneapolis, Minnesota ♥
