I started making jewelry on a whim one afternoon in 2006 while snowed in at the South Philadelphia apartment I once shared with my sister. I was limited to the supplies of two square glass beads from a broken necklace, a long piece of wire from said necklace, and a pair of eyebrow tweezers as my "tool". Two frustrating hours later, I had completed my first pair of handmade earrings! ...And then I placed them down on my glass coffee table, and to my utter dismay, one of the glass square beads cracked right down the middle.
Since that bittersweet afternoon, I've learned that one of my favorite reasons to make jewelry is to experiment with new materials and styles. I frequently work with mixed metal and wire based jewelry, and I am absolutely in love with incorporating bright colors into as many pieces as possible. Thank you for checking out my shop!...
