About

I have been making jewelry in some form or other all my life, starting with stringing wooden beads in the playpen.

However, my formal education began in September, 2002, in Anthony Chavez' Jewelry classes at Venice Adult Vocational School in Venice, California. Anthony and Brad Smith taught me solid fundamentals of fabrication, lapidary, casting, and setting stones. I took class several times a week, as well as on Saturday, during summer sessions, and winter breaks until 2009, when the class came to a close.

During my time in the class with Anthony's and Brad's support, I went on to explore more advanced intarsia, metal forging, metal fold-forming techniques, and resin casting.

In the last 2 years, I have added the following to my skills: wire-weaving, chain-mailling, stone carving, and most recently, gemstone fantasy cuts.

I am a proud member of the Culver City Rock and Mineral Club, which is a wonderful venue for aspiring jewelers as well as rockhounds.

I have owned and operated LiquidSky Jewelry since 2004, selling my work in local stores and shows, and, of course, on Etsy!

My greatest aspirations as a jeweler and an artist are to develop my skills to their maximum capacity, then to inspire others with my ideas, while passing on the skills I have learned.
