Who is the person behind SzetoBaby?
Former elementary school teacher, now a stay at home mommy to a 2010 baby girl and 2008 toddler son.
I am a self-taught jewelry artist, but I've taken art classes in school since I was 6 years old. From the moment I wrapped my chubby little fingers around my first crayon - I was hooked.
I made my first ring when I was 16, in my high school art class. It was a nickel silver and brass ring with a very wide band and a sloppily soldered seam. It was my first try and boy was I proud of it! Too bad it turned my finger green (nickel silver allergy). But since jewelry making requires far more material and tools (need money) than drawing did, I didn't venture into another jewelry making project until many years later, when I had a paycheck in hand!
The economy has been a roller coaster ride for many families, including ours, so this little shop of mine is a way for me to release my creative energy, craft beautiful items
for others, and perhaps *cross my
fingers, eyes and toes*
eventually become one of
those super successful sellers
on Etsy that make this their
full time job!!!!
