The Story of the Blue Dress
Alea was the type of girl no one would have ever noticed; she was the plain Jane, tomboy type. One night in their small town there was a dance. This dance was a major event for the town and all the girls had new dresses for the occasion. Alea attended as well, though she stayed in the shadows, content to watch the others have all the fun. One of the girls had on a beautiful red ruffled dress, which matched her attitude that night. She twirled around on the dance floor, flirting will all the men, who couldn’t help but notice her. She began taunting Alea, teasing her about the pants she was wearing and shouting that since she always looked like a man she should have joined the boys fighting in the recent war. Alea was furious.
