One of my greatest passions growing up has been baking cookies and cake, gardening and harvesting flowers, and I have a particular interest in all things Victorian.

Candied flowers are a very delicate expression of beauty, creativity and elevate a simple cake , cupcake, cookie or drink to an edible piece of art.

They have been around for thousands of years, spanning back to the Roman Empire and becoming particularly popular during Victorian times.
