hello lovelies! it's so nice to meet you, welcome to the kitchen roost!

about the shop:
the kitchen has always been my favorite room in the house. i love to cook and i have always loved finding beautiful things to make the room special. the kitchen roost is where i get to indulge myself in kitchen goodies and create aprons, tea towels and reusable shopping bags- especially for you! i'm just as passionate about the environment as i am the kitchen, so all shopping bags and tea towels are either made with or available in 100% organic cotton fabric.

about me:
since i was little, i’ve always loved learning to create things. i’m often in search for the next creative endeavor and enjoy nesting in my home, ROOSTING! i'm excited to say that i have recently become a full time etsy seller, and i so glad you are stopping by! i live with my amazing husband, david, and our awesome doggie- toaster the golden retriever! life is good on our tiny homestead.

i’m inspired by the simple beauty that is found everywhere in nature. i live snuggled back in the beautiful mountains of north carolina and every day is like waking up in the most beautiful place in the world. the inspiration is endless! i love creating things that make me and my space feel like a home- cozy, snug, peaceful, & beautiful.

i'm also the author of going home to roost and love to share other talented artisans. you can find us there every weekday discussing the handmade life, diy projects, seasonal recipes, organic gardening, indie biz tips and ways to live a simpler life. i look forward to getting to know you!
