I was born in Hawaii and was named Coral (yes, like the reef). I began hula lessons at the tender age of 5. My family even started a Polynesian dance studio, lead by my Mom, that’s still going strong after 35 years!

When we moved to Canada, I experienced my first snowfall and was captivated. My family marveled at the fact that I seemed to prefer autumn leaves and winter snowflakes over palm trees and coconuts. I guess I've always been a bit of a paradox.

As a kid I loved creating: a tiny bra for Barbie? Sure! A quilted blanket for My Little Pony? Why not?! I drew all the time, always things I reeeeally wanted but couldn't have (like Santa's flying reindeer).

I began wood burning in 2008. There is something about its permanence that really appeals to me. I am self taught and learned a lot the hard way (did you know burnt finger prints grow back?!)

The Snowshoe Loft is where I live, my home. A dark cozy hideaway where antique lanterns, snowshoes, skis, and rickety old toboggans adorn the walls. It’s where I do my artwork, find peace, and get inspired.
