My name is Mary Tafuri, pronounced "Fury", not "furry".

I've made jewelry since my first year as an 11-year-old campfire girl, where I learned to make traditional mourning chokers with "my group leader", my Cherokee mother. I started selling my jewelry in 2002, while working as a marketing wench, photographer and jewelry designer for a bead wholesaler. After designing and marketing a line of quality leather beading components for jewelry designers, I quit my day job, and have been happily selling on Etsy ever since! You've found our family leather supplies store: Thingumabobs, the retail home of Tafurious™ & Tafuri Tough™ leather findings and snap cuff bracelet blanks. As a jewelry maker and lover of all things bead- I crave fine leather pieces to work with, but found little available that sparked my creativity. I started making our leather beading components and made it a mini-mission to provide my beady people with hard-to-find quality leather parts. We have one major distributor, and a healthy wholesale studio where each unique leather product is hand-made to order.
Many of our products are "clicked" or die-cut, for precision, from steel dies we made from our patterns. Since leather is a natural product, patina and dye will vary. Our pink is the least consistent, and can end up pale or bright. Be specific about your needs if you're picky like me! My husband and partner Blue, and our little team of family and friends are also picky about quality. If you order our parts, you know you're getting something made by artists for artists.
Some orders may take up to 3 weeks to ship, depending on material delays- but we will ALWAYS let you know and give you other options, in case you're in a rush. Orders go faster if you include all the choices detailed in each listing in the notes to sellers section when placing your order. Read carefully before submitting and check your convo's in case I have to ask a question. If you don't respond, I may make your item using fairy dust and chocolate sprinkles, so make sure you're clear about your size, color and hardware needs.
