About

Hi!
I grew up in Jax, FL and studied English Lit at FSU. My favorite college job was working for a tiny used bookshop called the Paperback Rack. I mispronounced Albert Camus' name to a customer once, but shut up, I'd never heard it said out loud. I'll always remember being confused by that guy's smirk.

I drove to NYC to put my Lit degree to good use, finding jobs as a long-term temp and waitress. After several years, I found my favorite real job writing for Comedy Central.

Hi!

I moved to London a few months ago to marry and live with my British husband. I now spend my days embroidering and taking freelance writing jobs.

I've always felt a little out of place in a mostly rewarding, humorous kind of way. I like to reflect the awkwardness, discomfort and cuteness of social interactions.

I spend hours making each piece with high-quality hoops, Osnaburg cotton and vintage backing fabrics to ensure that it is something you will be proud to own. I will never send anything out half-assed, promise. Drawings and words are original, unless otherwise stated in the description.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to accept custom orders for that one-of-a-kind, charmingly unique buddy in your life, but hopefully they'll like one of my designs.

My embroideries are available at Pygmy Hippo Shoppe in Los Angeles.
