About

Welcome to my shop!

Sewing has been a life-long love of mine. It began when I was a young child plying a shoelace through chunky, wooden stringing beads and playing with lacing cards. By the age of seven, I had moved onto embroidery and crewel work. In high school, I sewed much of my own wardrobe. But having a family has most caused my sewing skills to grow--starting with simple sundresses for my daughters and progressing on to: historical corsets, Civil War-era ballgowns, period boys' clothing, and 1880's day wear and dinner dresses.

In my shop you may find handwrought goods that are:

--useful
--beautiful to look at
--historically-inspired

My handmade children's clothing reflects my love of seeing sweet-faced children dressed well. Childhood is such a fleeting and precious time. The sweetness and innocence of it is reflected in the clothing I make.

I also love photography. My photography includes primarily the beauty I see surrounding me in New England, and the beauty of simple domesticities. I think the useful and the everday are precious and beautiful, and I enjoy capturing that through my camera lens to share with others.

About me personally:
I am a Christian saved by the grace of God alone. My family and I live on a few acres of land in rural New England where I spend my days: homeschooling, gardening, sewing, knitting, and keeping a bustling kitchen. I enjoy: creating happy memories for those I love, organizing, exploring new places, photography, learning dying domestic arts, and feeding people. We keep golden retrievers and a rubber chicken as pets. It's a wonderful life!
