Hi there my name is Kerrie Balma and I am a wife, mother, registered nurse in a busy emergency department and I love all things vintage. However, this wasn’t always the case! My initial introduction to vintage finds, antiques and the occasional garage sale happened when I was in grade school, too young to appreciate the dusty treasures I would encounter.
On rainy days during summer vacations, my parents thought it would be fun to go “antiquing”. The old and cracked items were not much fun for a girl my age. But, as I got older, those years of antiquing began to rub off on me. Now, when flea market day beckons, I jump out of bed at the crack of dawn. (I am not a morning person so this is a feat in and of itself!) The thrill of the hunt and a chance for interesting finds always makes my heart beat faster.
I have found beauty in old silverware. Tarnished, but lovely from years of use, I am inspired to find new purposes for them and bring them back to life. I hope you will love them as much as I do!
