I am April, but most people call me Ape. I make everything on my etsy shop (hence, my business is: APE MADE). I live in Northeast Ohio and like to focus on midwest pride - because as any Clevelander knows, we usually don't get the love we deserve.

I graduated with a BFA in Printmaking and a BA in History from Kent State University a few years ago. I worked in national service and non-profits after receiving my degrees - loved helping people and I got to assist in a youth arts program. BUT, due to the budget crisis, my non-profit position was no longer funded.

After working a string of VERY CRAPPY jobs, I recently decided to commit to my art and handmade screenprinted items as a full time job. Until then, I had only been slightly invested and viewed it more as a hobby. I also DJ weekly and work a bit at a yoga studio. And I still volunteer with the youth arts...

I love my friends, family, beagles (I have two), music, food, travel, art, and photography. Staying busy!
