Hi, My name is Amanda Cruise. My passion in life is my art. With that passion comes the excitement and joy of learning and creating different things. When I first began making art, I was doing sculpture. As I have evolved I now do photography and painting as well. I have done paintings in acrylic, oil, and encaustic and continue to work on all of those things today.

My art is not the only thing that has been exciting in 2011, but also the changes that have been happening in my life. In May 2011, I graduated from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA with a B.A. in Art with minors in graphic design and art history. After graduating in May, I moved to Lincoln, NE. Shortly after, I became an artist at the Burkholder Project, an art gallery in downtown Lincoln. The Burkholder Project is one of my studio spaces as well as the gallery where I show my work. As I mentioned I do some work with photography. My photography has been featured in the Briar Cliff Review; a nation-wide publication highlighting some of the most talented artists in the liberal arts. My photograph entitled "Strength" was also on display at the Sioux City Art Gallery, in Sioux City, IA from April 2011- July 2011.
