It probably started with the classic drawing-on-the-walls as a toddler (which I apparently blamed on my poor little brother), but I've always been unable to resist decorating everything around me. Nothing makes me happier than looking around a room, and seeing the hundred little personal touches someone has added!

After spending a lifetime in snow-ridden Western New York, my husband and I moved to the sunny Florida coast shortly after our wedding. (It's taking a bit of getting used to - I have to re-learn everything I ever knew about gardening!) Since I had to quit my day job anyway, I took the plunge into doing business for myself!

While planning my wedding in 2011, I knew I wanted the day to be full of lovely details...and I knew I had a VERY small budget! I set about designing a million little things, all the way down to itty-bitty stickers for the bubble tubes. (Note to other brides: do NOT try for fancy shapes to cut out on stickers only half an inch wide! Your fingers will thank you!!) It was such an amazing feeling, looking around at the reception, seeing all the things I'd made, (including vivid aqua doilies on every table!), and feeling so at home being surrounded by things that were "so ME".

I picked up crocheting somewhere around 2006, thanks to a fabulous friend who paid for a photo shoot with some supplies and a book to get started! It wasn't long before I was getting requests from friends and family for hats and bags and coasters and..! I've always adored lace, and colors are a bit of an obsession with me - so nothing makes me happier than a bright little doily, full of history in the lace and stitches, and the present in bold colors. :)
