I began painting as a way to break myself out of the hardships of dealing with borderline personality disorder, a mental disorder mainly characterized by sudden and drastic mood swings. I don't feel I use my paintings to "express" my mental anguish in the way that say, Picasso did. I more like to use painting as an activity to challenge myself to stay mindful and centered in my wise mind, without following the distractions that lead me to my intense dispositions. I enjoy bright colors and abstract shapes to take my mind off my issues!
I just recently moved to Manassas, VA to live with my boyfriend, Will. I've now become a full-time homemaker and artist. With some convincing, we will soon be adopting a kitten to add to our little family.
