That picture of me there... the avatar pic? See it. It's squished. Really, I'm not THAT puffy looking. I mean, it's a puffy face I'm making -- blowing out air, like I'm saying to myself, "Geez! That guy really needs to get a grip!" or someting -- put I'm truly not THAT wide. The pic resized badly.

Which you think I could take care of, seeing as I've done graphic design for a living. I am a Photoshop God. So, really, it wouldn't be a problem. If you go to my blog -- www.TinkerX.com -- and go to the "About" page, you'll see a number of similarly unflattering photos, including the one below, but less flattened.

Why, then, is this one flat/fat? Why didn't I correct for the square aspect ratio? That's a really, really good question. A poser. A puzzler. A stumper. It's a veritable sudoku of a graphic design querry...
