About

I have been on this earth for 57 years.
For 46 of them I have been working with fabrics. First just for myself then with my master's degree in Costume Design and my own tailoring business, for others.

I have moved 34 times in my life and everywhere I have lived or traveled I buy fabric, trims, buttons. I consider myself a fabric alcoholic. Now that I am creating custom garments and purses I have even more reason to indulge my passion.

Thus a coat could have fabric from Los Angeles, my home town, buttons from Paris, trim from Chicago and lining from San Francisco.

My original inspiration comes from Japanese kimonos. If you look at prints you will see the juxtaposition of 4 or 5 different colors or prints that all blend into a harmonious whole. Being a plus size woman, I believe in dressing the flesh, no matter what size you are. I want a woman to look spectacular--not wear a bundle of what look like rags because it is "different".

With the advent of massive unemployment and the continued popularity of Casual Friday I take my job as president of the "Necktie Rescue League" very seriouly. It is the mission of the league to find discarded neckties, those yummy pieces of patterned silk, new employment. They tell me they really enjoy their new home on custom clothing and purses.

I look forward to everyday in my studio conjuring up unique and wonderful things for women like myself--strong, bold, glorious-- who want to wear beautiful things that no one else has.

Come join in the adventure!
