Alison Mahoney is passionate about music. She's a classically trained opera singer and an aspiring Broadways star whose melodious voice enthralls her listeners. She also spends a lot of time waiting backstage and at auditions. In order to quell the boredom—and stage fright—she started to crochet.

While Alison was fashioning holiday gifts for her family in the wings of the famed Paper Mill Playhouse, cast mates applauded her vintage-inspired hats and encouraged her to start selling them. Thus began the first act of her business; as a tribute to her full-time love —music— she chose to call the project ARIA by alison.
