===== About Me =====

I have always been creative and one of my earliest recollections is tinkering in my father's garage making things while he overhauled and rebuilt one of the many car engines we ever owned.

Along came the flower-power era and I remember making some leather wrist bands for my friends as well as copper wire and glass bead bracelets and bangles.

Although qualified in telecommunications I very quickly migrated into software and was employed in hi-tech for all of my adult life until…. the heady dot.com bubble burst and along with it the hi-tech industry. The economic downturn of 2008 affected my career and I found myself without employment.

===== About Me =====

It wasn't long before I found myself drawn to jewelry design and jewelry making and completely immersed myself in the trade. I am completely self-taught and have enjoyed every minute of discovering an amazing occupation. I thank God for the creativity He has endowed me with.

Like so many disciplines, jewelry making offers unending opportunities and designs. Finding new designs and putting them on a friend's finger, wrist, ears or around their neck gives me great satisfaction.

I love to create things with my hands that others can enjoy, I cannot possibly keep every new piece I make so I extend to you my handcrafted artwork at the best prices available.

===== My Style =====

I like my pieces to look a little rustic, a little uneven, and noticeably handmade.
I don’t think jewelry should be perfect and flawless, like it was mass-produced.

I tend to be a perfectionist so making something perfectly imperfect sounds crazy and a difficult balancing act!

The finishing of my pieces, sanding, curving, oxidizing, brushing and polishing is what makes my final pieces unique.

===== My Shop Hours =====

After spending so many years in hi-tech working 80+ hour work weeks, I appreciate the God given weekly rest. I will not be available to communicate from Friday afternoon to Saturday night every week. I will be available (depending on my work schedule) from Sunday morning through Friday noon.

===== Argentium™ Silver =====

Recently discovering Argentium™ Silver has opened up a new world of creativity to me. I have converted and will be producing as much as possible of my future silver work using this amazing material.

Argentium™ Silver was discovered by Peter Johns, Professor of Jewelry Design at the Art and Design Research Instutute, MIddlesex University. The alloy was patented in 2001 by the Argentium Silver Company, UK.

A portion of the copper in traditional sterling silver was replaced by the metalloid Germanium and found to impart the following properties to sterling silver:
▪ Firescale elimination
▪ High tarnish resistance
▪ Precipitation hardening and simple heat-hardening properties
▪ Increased ductility and malleability
▪ Reduced thermal and electrical conductivity
▪ Environmental advantages being made using recycled silver and not having to plate over firescale and obviating the use of acid to remove fire scale.

The added hardness means that Argentium™ Silver can be made purer than traditional sterling silver while retaining it's workability.

The resulting product is whiter, brighter, purer and harder than traditional sterling silver and above all else is highly tarnish resistant!! It keeps it's shine far longer than traditional sterling silver just needing an occasional rinse with some soapy water and a wipe with a soft cloth.

I have a lot more to offer than what I have here. You could have a peek at my other creations here http://adiel.tal-zion.org
