Paul has no formal training in art. For over 30 years he worked in the corporate world and in parallel indulged his passion for the arts with copious visits to galleries and exhibitions to study the works of others.
More recently he decided to try his hand at producing some work of his own. Initially he explored the use of pastels while working on portraits and followed this with the use of acrylic for more abstract work.
In September 2009 he enrolled on a screenprinting course at Edinburgh Printmakers and immediately became fascinated by this versatile medium. He is currently concentrating on exploring the many aspects to this medium, producing images that combine a mix of stark flat colour and areas of textured appearance.
