A Touch of Sea Glass

It brings me great joy to bring you treasures from the shores of the Bay of Fundy, home of the highest tides in the world. My passion for the beach began as a young girl growing up near the ocean in New Brunswick, Canada. Many a day was spent beachcombing for beautiful sea glass and unique beach stones brought to the surface by the ever changing tides.

As the tides changed, and the years passed, I found myself far from the Fundy shore, and in the California Bay Area. My passion for cooking and baking led me to a career as a personal chef/assistant on an estate and starting my own catering/baking business. After 12 busy years in California, I headed to the Midwest…Indiana that is and pursued other career interests to accommodate raising two boys.

About

Having the ocean in my blood, always found me drawn back home for summer vacation. The never ending search for that elusive or unique find would pull me and the next generation of beachcombers down to the shore. We found it exciting as well as relaxing, peaceful and a great way to spend quality time with family.

As my collection grew, my interest in sharing these treasures also did. Keeping up with my creative side I wanted to turn these one-of-a-kind beach finds into unique items. I pursued metalsmithing classes, learning how to incorporate my sea glass and polished beach stones with silver and copper.

Creating jewelry from these one-of-a-kind discoveries and adorning different items was the beginning of A Touch of Sea Glass.

From my vast collection, and east coast family beachcombers my supply continues to grow.
