So why the basement.....? Well in hind sight "attic" has a nicer ring to it, but a basement is what it was.

I had a Great Aunt, her name was Anna. I called her Aunt-Nan. She had a house in Philly with a basement full of treasures that had collected over many decades. My dear Aunt-Nan taught me to sew, knit, crochet and cook. She could do it all. As a kid I loved going through her boxes and boxes of goodies. This is where a life-long obsession was born. She had fabrics, buttons, doll parts, zippers, knitting needles, yarns from all over the world.. You get the idea. To me, this was heaven! As I got older and would go visit her I couldn't wait to see what had been added to her enormous stash and better yet, what was up for grabs!! Fast forward 20 or so years and here we are. My Aunt-Nan is gone, but all the fabulous contents of the basement live on. It is my daily mission to…
