CUSTOM orders that were already placed are taking 6+ weeks to design, paint, then ship. At this time, I am not taking on any new custom work.

I’m a day dreamer with a LONG list of projects yet to be completed. I’m a lover of coffee, breakfast for dinner, flip flops and all things vintage. And I’m the artist behind Barn Owl Primitives.

A while ago I had to have a primitive wooden snowman to hang on my door. So I made one! Then, I thought "all my friends need one, too." So, I made wooden snowmen as gifts. Then, their friends all needed one, and then that "snowballed" into Barn Owl Primitives.

I LOVE letters. Maybe it's because I taught elementary school. Or, maybe it's because I haven't seen my refrigerator door in four + years because of all those little, colorful magnets. Or, maybe it's because I have a lot to say (but my family gets tired of listening to me talk all the time). For whatever the reason, I LOVE letters. So, I started my typography signs as a way of getting all those letters out of my system. I enjoy laying out the letters, creating a picture, and telling a story. i dream that one day i'll walk out the back door of my farm house, across the field to my barn studio. my husband dreams of walking out the front door and across the street to the coffee shop. SO ~ I'll solve that by putting a coffee shop in my barn! :)
