Carolyn Nichols' Profile

About

I have always been drawn to nature and my professional journey reflects that life-long relationship. Growing up on the seashore and in the woods of Maine gave me insight into the beauties of the natural world. My interdisciplinary education of art and science resulted in a degree in Medical Illustration (MFA) and a job at the New England Aquarium in Boston. I currently work as a high school science teacher and own my own art business. I use art to intrigue my students about science and I use science to interest people in my art.

During the summer months and the winter holiday season I sell my jewelry at local craft shows such as the Bath Heritage Days, Brunswick Outdoor Arts Festival, Mt Ararat Holiday Show and may others. My work can also be purchased from Lisa-Marie's in Bath or Portland, Maine.
