Retired healthcare manager living in Paradise. I've been sewing since before my first child was born, starting out by making maternity clothes. I progressed to making all sorts of outfits for my three daughters, even tailored coats. Later I became interested in home decorating and learned to make slipcovers and drapes. My favorite thing is making things for weddings, christenings, and formal events. I made an exact replica of a designer veil for my youngest daughter's cathedral length wedding veil for about $100; it cost $500 in the bridal shop. In 2006 I bought my first embroidery machine and have been going strong with embroidery ever since. I especially enjoy in-the-hoop projects such as the photo albums and towel toppers in my shop. I was even able to design an in-the-hoop pattern for ringbearer pillows using my embroidery software.
