Blacklilypie is Tara Fortin.

I am an illustrator, working from a purple studio, making pink, purple and black things.

I have been using the name "blacklilypie" since high school. I am a full time illustrator and designer working from Ottawa, Ontario in Canada.

I live with a giant grouchy cat (Check him out on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X50L3JtYWIA)

I studied Illustration at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto.

Everything in my shop is my original designs. That includes printed fabrics, images on pins, all packaging and all patterns for stuffed toys.

What is a Batcat??

Batcat was conceived in university as an assignment in letterhead design, and he just took over my life. Years later Batcat is on a lot of the things I do. He is naughty and grumpy and might just be the cartoon version of my real life destructive cat, Rocko the Cat.

Batcat isn't really his name, its his species by the way. :-)
